Interior IO is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Interior IO platform — including our web application, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and any related services.
1. Introduction
Interior IO ("we", "our", or "us") provides project management software for interior design studios. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in several ways to provide, improve, and personalize our Service.

- Full name, email address, and phone number
- Studio or business name and address
- Role within your organization (e.g., owner, supervisor, designer)
- Profile photo, if provided
- Billing and payment information when subscribing to paid plans
2.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including:
- Pages and features accessed, actions taken, and time spent
- Projects created, daily progress reports submitted, and tasks managed
- Search queries within the application
- Interaction patterns and feature usage frequency
- Error logs and crash reports
2.3 Device Information
When you access Interior IO from a device, we may collect:
- Device type, model, and operating system version
- Unique device identifiers
- Browser type and version (for web app usage)
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Network information (Wi-Fi or mobile data)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide and operate the Service — to create and manage your account, enable project management features, process payments, and deliver daily progress reports and notifications.
- Improve and personalize — to understand usage patterns, fix bugs, develop new features, and tailor the experience to your studio's needs.
- Communicate with you — to send transactional notifications (e.g., approval requests, payment reminders, milestone alerts), respond to support inquiries, and share important product updates.
- Ensure security — to detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other harmful activities.
- Legal compliance — to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
- Analytics and research — to analyze aggregated, anonymized usage trends to improve our platform for all users.
4. Data Storage & Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it.
- Encryption — All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Access controls — We enforce strict role-based access controls internally. Only authorized personnel can access user data, and only when necessary.
- Infrastructure — Our Service is hosted on secure, SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure with regular security audits.
- Backups — We perform automated daily backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Data isolation — Each organization's data is logically isolated. Team members in multiple organizations cannot cross-access data between them.
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to promptly notifying affected users in the event of a data breach.
5. Third-Party Services
We may share limited information with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our Service:
- App Store payments (iOS) — All in-app purchases and subscriptions on iOS are processed by Apple Inc. through the App Store. We never see or store your credit card or bank details. Apple shares only the transaction status, anonymized receipt identifier, subscription tier, and renewal/expiry date with us. Apple's handling of your payment data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Google Play payments (Android) — In-app purchases and subscriptions on Android are processed by Google LLC through Google Play Billing. We do not see your card or bank details. Google shares only the purchase token, subscription state, and expiry date with us. Google's handling of your payment data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Web payments — For subscriptions purchased on the web, we use Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified) to securely process payments. Card details are tokenised and stored by Razorpay, never on our servers.
- Cloud hosting — Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare (edge / static hosting) and Amazon Web Services (database / file storage), both under strict data processing agreements.
- Analytics — We use analytics tools to understand usage patterns. Data shared with these providers is anonymized or pseudonymized wherever possible.
- Communication services — Third-party providers send emails, SMS (OTP verification), and push notifications.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We only share data as described in this policy or with your explicit consent.
6. App Store & Google Play Subscriptions
If you purchase an Interior IO subscription through the iOS App or the Android App, the transaction is governed by the platform owner — Apple Inc. for iOS, Google LLC for Android — and the terms below apply.
6.1 Auto-renewing subscriptions
Interior IO offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions (Solo, Studio, and Agency tiers). The exact price, billing period, and tier name are displayed in the app at the moment of purchase and on our Pricing page.
- Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Charge timing: Apple or Google will charge your account for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Free plan: Interior IO also offers a permanent Free plan (no card, no trial period, no auto-charge). The Free plan does not require an in-app purchase and never converts to a paid subscription without your explicit action.
6.2 Managing or cancelling your subscription
You can manage, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time:
- iOS: Open the iPhone Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Interior IO → choose Cancel, change plan, or change billing period. (Cancelling here stops the next auto-renewal; you keep access until the end of the current billing period.) Apple's official guide: apple.com/HT202039.
- Android: Open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select Interior IO → tap Cancel subscription. Google's official guide: support.google.com/googleplay.
- Web: Subscriptions purchased on our website can be cancelled inside the app at Account → Billing → Cancel subscription.
Important: Deleting the Interior IO app from your device does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through the platform's subscription settings (above) before deleting the app, or you will continue to be charged.
6.3 Refunds
All payments processed through Apple or Google are subject to the platform's refund policy — Interior IO cannot directly issue refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases.
- iOS refund requests: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Interior IO subscription, and submit a refund request. Apple decides at its sole discretion.
- Android refund requests: Visit your Google Play order history, find the Interior IO subscription, and click "Report a problem" to request a refund. Google decides at its sole discretion.
- Web subscriptions: See our Refund Policy in the Terms of Service for refund eligibility on web purchases.
6.4 Subscription data we receive
From Apple and Google we receive only the minimum data required to grant and maintain your subscription:
- An anonymized purchase token / original transaction ID (used to verify the receipt with Apple's or Google's servers)
- The product identifier of the tier you purchased (e.g.,
solo_monthly,studio_yearly) - Subscription start, current period end, and auto-renewal status
- Whether the subscription is in a billing-retry, grace period, or expired state
We do not receive your name, email, billing address, payment card number, CVV, or bank details from Apple or Google. Your account inside Interior IO is linked to your subscription via the platform's anonymized identifier only.
6.5 Apple Standard EULA
By downloading and using the iOS App, you agree to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) in addition to our own Terms of Service.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
7.1 Access
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you at any time. We will respond within 30 days.
7.2 Correction
If any of your personal information is inaccurate or incomplete, you can update it directly through your account settings, or contact us to request a correction.
7.3 Deletion
In-app deletion (recommended). You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the app at any time: open the More tab, scroll to Delete account, and follow the two-step confirmation. Deletion takes effect immediately — your profile, sign-in credentials, every studio you own (and every project, transaction, daily report, photo, and team member inside it), and your membership in studios owned by other people are all removed.
By email. If you cannot use the in-app option, you may also request deletion by writing to privacy@interiorio.com. We will process the request within 30 days.
Note on active subscriptions: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel the subscription separately through your platform's subscription settings (see Section 6.2) before deleting the account, or the subscription will continue to bill until you cancel it.
In both cases, we may retain limited information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., invoices and tax records under Indian financial reporting rules).
7.4 Data Portability
You have the right to request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (such as CSV or JSON). This includes project data, financial records, and any other information you have contributed to the platform.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@interiorio.com.
8. Cookies

9. Children's Privacy
Interior IO is designed for business use by interior design professionals and is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

- Notify you via email or an in-app notification if the changes are significant
